Christchurch, New Zealand’s biggest city, has been selected to host the final of the 12th ICC women’s cricket world cup 2021. The final match for women’s cricket teams will be played at Hagley oval, christ church, with a seating capacity of 8,000 spectators.Christ Church is one of six cities that will host a mega event from February 6 to March 7, while the semifinals will be played in Hamilton and Turanga.
The international cricket council (ICC) said in a statement that matches in wellington, hamilton, Tauranga, Dunedin and christ church will be inaugurated at Auckland Eden park. In 2021, the 50-over women’s cricket world cup will be a team of 8 teams, with 31 matches being played, with hosts new Zealand and four top teams participating in the ICC women’s championship 2017-20. The first women’s world cup was also played at christ church in 1982.
